Patna, Oct 31: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today announced to provide Rs 250 to the flood victims performing ''Chhath'' puja in the relief camps on the occasion of four-day-long festival.
Mr Kumar said here that the flood victims, who had taken shelter in the relief camps run by the state government, would get financial help to celebrate the festival and to offer special prayer to the Sun God.
The financial help would be extended from the Chief Minister's relief fund to the devotees.
Reiterating his committment to better reconstruction of the flood -affected entire Kosi region, Mr Kumar said the government would provide all facilities to the devotees in the relief camps.
Mr Kumar said the state government would extend whole-hearted support to the flood victims in the hour of need and appealed to the devotees to pray for peace and prosperity of Bihar.
