Educomp bags 50.27 cr Karnataka CAE contract

New Delhi, Oct 31: Educomp Solutions Ltd, a globally diversified education solutions provider, on Friday, Oct 31 said it has bagged a five-year contract worth Rs 50.27 crore from Karnataka Government for imparting Computer Aided Education (CAE) in 708 colleges of the state.

The company has also secured an order from Chhattisgarh Government for implementing CAE programme in 347 government hostels, it said in a statement. With these orders, the total number of schools and students served by the Educomp in India has gone up to 9,970 and six million plus, respectively. The company is now executing public private partnership (PPP) Programmes for imparting CAE using its multi-lingual content.

It is also training government school teachers, providing staff and other deliverables as per tender specifications in 14 State Governments under various schemes, including the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, the statement said.
