Coimbatore: Appavu orders TWAD to supply water

Coimbatore, Oct 31: The Estimates Committee of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly led by its Chairman M Appavu on Thursday, Oct 30 visited various ongoing works in the district and asked the Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage (TWAD) Board officials to ensure completion of the drinking water supply scheme for peripheral local bodies such as Kurichi, Kuniamuthur and Kinathukkadavu at the earliest.

The panel comprised six legislators and accompanied by Collector V Palanikumar was on a tour of the district. It first visited the Vellalore compost yard of Coimbatore Corporation and sought explanations on the garbage collection mechanism and the disposal methods.
