Auqaf shopping complex gutted, four injured in Kashmir
Srinagar, Oct 31 (UNI) A shopping complex of Auqaf was gutted in a devastating fire, causing damage to property worth lakhs of rupees while four people were injured in the Kashmir valley overnight, official sources said.
Fire broke out in a house at Radapora in the down town city this afternoon causing minor damage to it.
They said fire broke out in Auqaf shopping complex at Nalbandpora Safa Kadal in the Sher-e-Khas (SeK).
Over a dozen shops and two fur factories were reduced to ashes in the fire. However, fire tenders rushed from different parts of the city and controlled the flames before it could spread to nearby buildings.
The cause of the fire was not known, they said.
Fire also broke out in the house of one Mohammad Subhan Lone at Kralpora in the frontier district of Kupwara, causing partial damage to it.
Two children received burn injuries and were hospitalised, they said adding the cause of the fire was not immediately known.
Sources said two people were injured when a load carrier collided with a three wheeler at Kacha Nambal, Ganderbal. The injured were hospitalised, they said.
