Itanagar, Oct 31: A red alert has been sounded throughout Arunachal Pradesh following yesterday's serial blasts in neighbouring Assam which claimed over 60 innocent lives besides injuring over three hundred people.
Police has tightened the security apparatus and intensified checking, patrolling, search of suspected places and strict checking of persons and luggage at all entry and exit points of the state to thwart off any unexpected mishap.
Seeking the support of the masses and urging them to maintain personal vigil, police directed people not to touch any unattended or suspicious articles or employ unknown person as domestic servant.
Pointing out that thorough checking of all vehicles to and from Assam would be conducted not only for inner line permit but also for improvised explosive device (IED) or materials, the state police sought help from all sections in informing police about the movement of any suspicious person.
Condemning the blasts, state government spokesman Tako Dabi said the innocent people killed were also the children of God.Such inhuman and barbarous acts are not the solution for any problem.
