Kakinada, Oct 30 (UNI) Demanding Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy to order a Lok Ayukta probe into the corruption charges levelled by Smallscale Industries Minister Gollapalli Suryrarao against Panchayat Raj Minister J C Diwakara Reddy, Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) Chief Advisor K S R Murthy today threatened to launch an agitation if it did not act against the errant Minister within a week.
''It is no more a party affair but concerns the people of entire state as it involved serious charges of corruption against a Minister made by another Minister also equally senior. Nothing short of Lok Ayukta inquiry would satisfy the PRP. The inquiry by CBI or a sitting Judge would not serve the purpose as it is time consuming process. The Chief Minister should ask the Lok Ayukta to complete its inquiry within a week,'' he said.
Basing on the inquiry report, Mr Murthy said, the Chief Minister should drop either of the Ministers found guilty, he said adding that if no action was taken against the erring Minister within a week, the PRP would storm the Collectorate, demanding the East Godavari Collector to show the entire files pertaining to sand auctions, the primary cause of the present row between the Ministers.
