Patna, Oct 30 (UNI) Condemning the statement of Maharashtra Home Minister RR Patil on the killing of Rahul Raj, the NCP's Bihar unit today demanded that party national president Sharad Pawar immediately dismiss him from the ministry and the party.
Addressing newspersons here state unit president Upendra Kushwaha said Mr Patil's statement was objectionable and the person issuing such statements should be sacked from both the ministry and the party.
He also lashed out at Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and accused him of being non serious towards such a big issue.
He said in case Mr Kumar was at all serious he would have demanded stern action against parties like Shiv Sena and MNS involved in such attacks.
''If the BJP is a hurdle for this the JD(U) should snap ties with the saffron brigade,'' he said.
He also criticised Railway Minister Lalu Prasad and Fertilizer Minister Ramvilas Paswan for ''paying lip service'' and said their demands of action against MNS chief Raj Thackeray was a 'mockery'.
