Patna, Oct 30 (UNI) Railway Minister Lalu Prasad today announced a compensation of Rs three lakh and a railway job to the wife of Dharamdeo Rai who was beaten to death inside a Mumbai train.
Mr Prasad spoke to Mrs Rai over telephone and promised her of financial help and a job in the railways.
The Railway Minister is likely to visit the berieved family of Mr Rai who hailed from Uttar Pradesh, tomorrow.
Dharamdeo Rai was killed by a group of people, allegedly supporters of the MNS, in a running train in Mumbai on October 28.
Earlier Mr Prasad visited the Kadamkuan residence of Rahul Raj, who was shot dead by Maharashtra police in Mumbai on October 27.
Later talking to newspersons, Mr Prasad reiterated his demands for a judicial probe into the shooting down of Rahul Raj saying that the incident should be inquired by a sitting judge only.
