Bangalore, Oct 30: Karnataka IT and BT Minister Katta Subramanya Naidu today said the State Government will further simplify the rules of the Single Window System in the next two months to facilitate new investors in setting up units in the State.

Mr Naidu, as part of the upcoming Bangalore IT.Biz'08, told reporters here that the government will take action for providing all clearances at one roof needed for the starting of the industrial units.

The State Government will also introduce changes in procedures for acquiring land for the businessmen, he said.

Stating the government will soon set up an IT and BT Authority for its promotion, he said it will hold discussions on topics like new investments, expansion and sustainable development of the existing industries during the three-day IT mela starting from November six in the city.

He said the present global financial crisis had no impact on the State's IT and BT sector and it expects to attract investments to the tune of Rs 50,000 crore during the IT mela stressing on 'IT manufacturing-Made in India.' The event will be a B2B platform for the IT, ITES, and all allied businessmen for Indian as well as global companies, he said adding delegations from Mexico, Germany, Japan, Bavaria, Denmark and the UK will take part.
