Kerala Additional Advocate General dead
Kochi, Oct 30: Kerala Additional Advocate General Venganoor Chandrasekharan Nair died at a hospital here this morning following a cereberal haemorrhage.
He was 68.
He is survived by wife and a daughter.
Nair, who had undergone a by-pass surgery about five months ago, had been admitted a week ago to the Medical Trust Hospital here.
Nair, who had been serving as the Addl Advocate General since 2006, was also the Chairman of the Kerala Bar Council's Disciplinary Committee.
He was also the State President of the All India Association of Lawyers, affiliated to the CPI. He had also served as the Government Pleader in Trivandrum District Court.
Nair's body was brought to the Bar Council Hall in the Kerala High Court this morning where Chief Justice H L Dattu, Advocate General C P Sudhakara Prasad, Ernakulam IG Vinson M Paul, Police Commissioner Manoj Abraham, District Collector M Beena and others paid their last respects.
The body was later taken to Thiruvananthapuram for the funeral.
