Jaya suffers injury while boarding flight to Madurai
Chennai, Oct 30 (UNI) Former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and AIADMK General Secretary J Jayalalithaa today suffered a cut injury in her foot, when she slipped, while climbing the ladder to board a special flight to Madurai to take part in the Thevar Jayanthi celebrations.
Addressing a gathering at Pasumpon in Ramanathapuram after taking part in the celebrations, Ms Jayalalithaa said she had to return home after sustaining the injury.
On reaching home, a bandage was put and the doctor, who treated her, advised her not to travel to Pasumpon.
Though the doctor advised her not travel, she made it clear that she would take part in the celebrations and resumed her journey in the afternoon, she said.
Ms Jayalalithaa went to the airport in the morning and returned after the injury. She resumed her trip to Madurai enroute Pasumpon in the afternoon by the same flight.
