Gandhinagar, Oct 30 (UNI) Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi condemned today's serial bomb blasts in Assam and condoled the bereaved families of the victims.
Describing the Assam serial blasts as a ''shocking and unacceptable'', Mr Modi urged the Congress led-UPA Government at the Centre to deal effectively and fast to shun the terrorist activities in the country.
Criticising the soft anti-terrorism policies of the Central Government in the country, Mr Modi alleged that the UPA Government should shun its vote bank politics to protect the innocent citizens from being the easy targets of terrorism.
He alleged that the Centre is acting in a manner that is discouraging the morale of the security agencies in fighting terrorism and giving breath to the anti-national elements.
''My party and government condemn the incident and pay condolences to the families of the victims,'' Mr Modi added.
