Madhya Pradesh: 2 injured by Hingot cracker
Barwani, MP, Oct 30: Two people, including a head constable, were injured in the banned Hingot cracker at Motimata Chowk here, police said today.
Some miscreants hurled Hingot cracker, whose intensity could be felt upto half a kilometer, on the head constable Pandharinath Badole, who was patrolling last night. In a similar incident, a youth Ravi Verma was injured from the Hingot at Mahatma Gandhi Road.
Both were admitted in district hospital.
People pluck the Hingot fruit from Hingoria tree, dried it, filled it with gunpowder and closed the other end with soil then they lit the gunpowder end and hurled it on the rival team. The fruit exploded violently in the air and also sometimes hurt people.
The festival started from evening and continued till midnight on the second day of Diwali but as it injured people the cracker was banned.
