'Yagam' for universal peace begins Nov 8
Visakhapatnam, Oct 29 (UNI) Sri Varaha Lakshminrusimha Swami Deveasthanam, a famous temple in Simhachalam in Andhra Pradesh, will organise a nine-day Sri Sudarsana Nrusimha Maha Yagam in the temple premises from November eight to 17 under supervision of Sri Tridandi China Srimannarayana Jeeyar.
Talking to newspersons here today, Temple Executive Officer C Prem Kumar today said the yagam was being conducted for universal peace and fulfillment of a particular wish.
Traditional rituals like Sri Sudarsnanesti(for Health), Sri Vainateyasti(for Children), Sri Lakshminarayanesti(for wealth) , Vishwaksenesti(for Victory) and Sri Hayagrivesti(for Education) would be performed.
A seminar would be organised in which key officials of Endowment Department and other Devasthanams in the State would participate and discuss on the means to maintain and protect ancient temples. The recommendations would be sent to the government, he added.
