Staff thwart attempt to loot bank in Punjab
Fatehgarh Sahib, Oct 29 (UNI) The staff of Malwa Gramin Bank at Sanghol village thwarted the attempt of a lone robber to loot the bank today and nabbed him.
According to police reports, when the bank branch manager, Paramjit Singh and another employee, Rupinderjit Singh opened the bank in the morning they were astonished to find one person trying to open the safe of the bank. They immediately caught hold of him and informed the police.
The alleged accused who was identified as Somi of Fatehgarh Sahib had entered the bank after breaching a wall of the building housing the bank. He was handed over to the police and a case has been registered against him at the Khamano police station.
