Chennai, Oct 29 (UNI) Counsel for former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and AIADMK General Secretary J Jayalalithaa today sought a review of a Madras High Court order on the measures taken by the state Government on the court's directions to review the security provided to her.

The plea was made to Justice M Jayachandran by Ms Jayalalithaa's Counsel N Navaneetha Krishnan, who showed a letter sent by one Tamilmainthan from Malaysia to his client allegedly threatening to eliminate her if she continued to oppose the LTTE.

Meeting Mr Jayachandran at his chamber, Mr Krishnan recalled Justice Jayachandran's earlier order directing the state Government to review the security measures provided to his client and ensure proper security for her.

Recalling that Ms Jayalalithaa already came under Z plus category, the counsel claimed the State Government had not taken any action on the order.

He appealed to the judge to review the earlier order to know if any action was taken on it to provide proper security to the AIADMK General Secretary. The judge directed the Registrar to post the matter for tomorrow.
