BJP minister visits Malegaon blast suspect's family
Indore, Oct 29 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Public Works Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya has visited the family members of Indore-resident Shyam Sahu, a Malegaon bomb blast suspect detained recently by Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS) of Maharashtra.
Shyam Sahu was arrested by the ATS and produced in Nashik court.
Earlier all the political parties and organisations refused to identify with Sahu but yesterday Mr Vijayvargiya reached Sahu's house and met his family members.
Talking to the mediapersons, Mr Vijayvargiya admitted about his acquaintance with the blast accused and said the latter was a BJP worker.
Denying any involvement in terrorist activities of Sadhvi Pragya Singh, who was also arrested by the ATS recently on the same charge, the minister added that he did not believe that the Sadhvi might be involved in the blast.
Meanwhile, in a statement issued at Bhopal today, Mr Vijayvargiya deprecated the attempts by different political parties to rake up the Sadhvi's terror links saying baseless allegations were being made for narrow political gains.
Defending Sadhvi Pragya, he said arrest on mere suspicion did not hold much water.
