Warna Cooperative to set up milk park in Kolhapur Dist

Kolhapur, Oct 28 (UNI) The Warna Cooperative Dudh Sangh will set up an integrated milk park at Warul village in Shahuwadi tehsil of the district, with an aim to boost the milk production in the state.

The project, to be set up over an area of 300 acres, will house 3,000 cows and will function in a similar way as the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), Warna Dudh Sangh chief Vinay Kore said today.

Mr Kore, who holds state non-conventional energy minister, said the state government had already handed over the land earmarked for the project.

The alloted land will be divided into hundred plots, measuring ten acres each, wherein they will built sheds for 100 cows, he said.

The sheds will be equipped with modern techniques and farmers will be given training in order to increase the milk production, he added.
