Jaipur, Oct 28 (UNI) Diwali for many kids would mean lights, crackers and varieties of dishes but for some it is another means to eke out a living for their family by selling fireworks, illegally.

Children aged between 10 and 12 years, with a few packets of crackers and fireworks in their hands or bags were roaming in retail cracker market in Tripolia Bazar, Hanumanji Ka Rasta and Vidhyadhar Ka Rasta here whispering in customers ears to buy it from them at cheap rates.

A 10-year-old child was seen pleading to a prospective customer to buy his items saying ''Abhi Ek Bhi Nahin Bika''( Please buy from me, I have not even opened the account).

Another was negotiating with a customer saying ''Lei Lijiye, Sasta Dunga'' (Please buy from me it is so cheap).

One of these little salesmen--a class 7 student said he was doing this work for the past two days to raise money to support his mother and younger sister. He said he was earning Rs 150 to Rs 200 daily from the work.

Another 10-year-old child said he was on this work for past many days to buy new clothes and shoes for himself as his poor mom was not in a position to buy the same for him.

These little salesmen were aware of the fact that this was an illegal sale, even then they were doing it cautitiously to fulfill their needs.
