President, PM discuss recent developments

New Delhi, Oct 28 (UNI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh called on President Pratibha Devisingh Patil at Rashtrapati Bhavan here today to discuss some recent national and international developments, and also to greet her on the occasion of Diwali.

The Prime Minister's visits to Japan for the annual Summit Meeting of the Prime Ministers of India and Japan as well as to Beijing for the 7th ASEM Summit figured during the meeting.

Dr Singh remained with the President for about 30 minutes, an official release said here.
