Amar Singh claims threat to his life
Noida, Oct 28: Amar Singh, Samajwadi Party(SP) general secretary on Monday, Oct 27 said that his life is in danger. He alleged that the attack on his party office last week was the handiwork of BJP and its affiliates. He claimed that he was informed by a boy from Meerut that there could be an attempt to kill him during his Mumbai visit.
Amar Singh said, "He overheard someone talking over telephone in a cyber cafe...he told me and I in turn informed the National Security Advisor, Intelligence Bureau and the Commissioner of Police,". "During my Bhopal visit, Bajrang Dal activists angry over my statement on attacks on churches had brandished swords," he added claiming a similar incident had taken place at Dehradun airport.
When asked about the threat from the Sri Ram Sena activists to target his house next, Amar Singh said that they were free to attack him. But this will only prove that he was a true secular voice of the nation's political class. He said that the attack on Samajwadi Party's central office in New Delhi allegedly by Sri Ram Sena activists was the handiwork of Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) and Sangh Parivar.
The Sri Ram Sena on Monday, Oct 27 evening ransacked the central office of SP, 'in retaliation' to the alleged defamatory comments made by party leaders against the slain Delhi Police Inspector M C Sharma.
