Nitish greets people on Diwali

Patna, Oct 27 (UNI) Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has greeted the people on the occasion of Diwali and said the festival of lights is an important occasion to promote peace, amity and brotherhood.

In a message issued here, Mr Kumar said the festival, a celebration to mark victory over the evil, reflects the true spirit of indian composite culture.

Mr Nitish called upon the people to rededicate themselves for making the state developed and prosperous.

Mr Kumar had special word for solace to flood victims of north Bihar as he assured them of full assistance from state government in rekindling their hopes for ''joy and vigour'' in their life.
