Heavy rains likely in North-east, Andaman, Nicobar islands

Pune, Oct 27 (UNI) Heavy to very heavy rains are likely to occur at most places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Lakshadweep, few places in Orissa, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and at isolated places Jharkhand, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Chattisgarh, south Konkan, Goa, Rayalaseema, coastal and south interior Karnataka.

Mainly dry weather is likely to prevail in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujarat, north Konkan, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Telangana and north interior Karnataka.

Heavy to very heavy rains have occurred at most places in Gangetic West Bengal. Heavy rains have occurred at most places in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Rain or thundershowers have occurred at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, few places in Lakshadweep and at isolated places in Orissa, Jharkhand, east Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

Mainly dry weather prevailed in Bihar, west Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

Day temperature was appreciably to markedly above normal in west Madhya Pradesh, Kutch, south Konkan, Goa, south Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Karnataka and above normal in Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Marathwada, some parts of Kashmir and coastal Andhra Pradesh. It was appreciably to markedly below normal in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, some parts of south interior Karnataka and below normal in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, east Orissa, north Kerala, some parts of Bihar and Punjab. It was normal in rest of the country.

Night temperature was appreciably to markedly below normal in Sub-Himalayan west Bengal, Gangetic West Bengal, south west Madhya Pradesh, south Madhya Maharashtra, west Vidarbha, south coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rayalaseema, south interior Karnataka, some parts of north interior Karnataka and below normal in Assam, Meghalaya, Uttarakhand, Jammu, south Konkan, north coastal Andhra Pradesh and some parts of east Uttar Pradesh. It was appreciably above normal in west Rajasthan and above normal in north Gujarat coast. It was normal in rest of the country.
