New Delhi, Oct 27 (UNI) A week after he was shifted from the All India Institute for Medical Sciences here, the condition of Information and Broadcasting Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi today continued to remain critical, hospital sources said.
''The medical condition of Union Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi remains the same and he continues to be on life support,'' said a spokesperson for the Apollo hospital where Mr Dasmunsi was shifted on October 20 from AIIMS.
Mr Dasmunsi has been hospitalised since October 13, following complete left ventricular failure.
He was first admitted to the AIIMS after suffering a complete left ventricular failure and later shifted to the Indraprastha Apollo hospital a week later.
Doctors at the Apollo hospital last Monday described Mr Dasmunsi's condition as "very critical". Since then, his condition has remained the same.
Earlier, Mr Dasmunsi had a heart attack on July 6 while on way to Kolkata from Malda after attending a meeting.
He had undergone an angioplasty and stenting of two coronary arteries in a hospital in Kolkata. He also has a history of diabetes and hypertension.
