People doing their bit to make smokers kick that butt on Diwali
Surat, Oct 26 (UNI) Union Health Minister Anbumani Ramdoss' decision to ban smoking in public places might have evoked mixed reaction from different sections in Gujarat, but there are people, who are doing their bit to make smokers kick that butt.
Dr Vimal Rathi, a renowned dentist, with his wife Renu Rathi have come up with a creative and unique idea of convincing people to quit tobacco with oneliner message on the top of sweet boxes.
The couple, along with ''Maakhan Bhog'', a leading chain of sweet shops, has prepared over 25,000 special Diwali gift boxes with the message ''Say No To Tobacco''.
''Diwali is an occasion celebrated to mark coming of a new year where the most common things exchanged are sweets. We thought this is the best way to promote anti-tobacco drive by spreading message on sweet boxes,'' Dr Rathi said.
