Talking to mediapersons here, Mr Raut said, ''No evidence has come up that could link these outfits with the Malegaon blast.'' He admitted that the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) of Maharashtra police has questioned a few people in Bhopal, Indore, Dewas, Jabalpur and Ujjain regions of Madhya Pradesh in connection with the blast. Mr Raut said the Maharashtra ATS has arrested three people -- one from the state capital and two from Indore -- and detained one or two people for questioning in this regard.
Replying to questions, he said state police does not obtain information from the ATS, which informs the former whenever it deems fit. He denied that the ATS had questioned some political leaders.
Sadhvi Pragya Singh, who has been arrested from Gujarat in this connection, hails from Bhind district of Madhya Pradesh. She had stayed for some period in Jabalpur. In this regard, a house in Jabalpur was searched by police.
