Pune, Oct 26 (UNI) Police today arrested a Corporator of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) and six other party activists for allegedly instigating rioting at several places in the city and district after the arrest of party chief Raj Thackeray.
MNS Corporator Rajabhau Gorde and six party workers were charged under section 109 of IPC.
The party workers damaged and set ablaze Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) buses during the violence.
Police said 14 cases were registered against the MNS chief and party activists on Tuesday last, under section 109 and other sections of IPC, causing damage to public property.
The inflammatory utterances of Thackeray instigated the MNS workers into action, police said.
