Natarajan trying to gain political mileage: Pondy CM
Puducherry, Oct 26: Alleging that Villianur Commune Panchayat President K Natarajan was trying to gain political mileage by making an issue out of the visit of Pattali Makkal Katchi(PMK) parliamentary party leader M Ramadass along with him to the Villianur Railway station, Local Administration Minister A Namasivayam condemned Mr Natarajan for his unworthy comments.
Talking to newspersons here, Mr Namasivayam said Mr Natarajan could not win the last elections against him and out of political vendetta he was making statements against him while the fact remains that no decision was taken to change the name of Villianur Railway station as 'Sultanpet'.
Mr Natarajan indulges in sinister designs to generate political sympathy and his vote-bank politics might lead to a clash between the Hindus and Muslims in Villianur, Mr Namasivayam said adding, this need to be condemned vehemently.
Mr Namasivayam alleged that Mr Natarajan has forcefully occupied the residence of Pattinathar Ashram and it should be returned to them.
