Chandigarh, Oct 26: The hearing of pending cases of electricity by the consumers of districts Rohtak, Jhajjar, Jind, Sonipat and Panipat by the Consumers Grievances Redressal Forum of the Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam will be in HSEB Rest House, Rohtak on October 27, 30 and 31.
A spokesman said here that the Forum will also register new complaints of the desirous consumers who had followed the procedure for lodging the complaints. Simultaneously, the guidance on procedure of lodging fresh complaints will also be given.
The Forum has been authorised to listen griveances on the issues relating to meter reading, extension of load, disconnection or restoration of electricity supply, quality of power and its reliability and interruptions. However, the issues relating to accidents, unauthorised use of power and cases of pilferage of power have been kept out of the purview of the Forum. In addition, there will be no hearing on the cases already pending before the arbitrators of other courts.
The Chairperson of the Forum, S C Vij, Member, Balbir Singh Dhull and the Secretary will hear the grievances of the consumers during the last week of every month at Rohtak. It will avoid travelling of the consumers of these distant places to Panchkula.
