Visakhapatnam, Oct 26(UNI) Yesterday's depression over West Central Bay of Bengal has intensified into a deep depression this evening and now lies about 460 km East North of Visakhapatnam.
A Cyclone Warning Centre (CWC) Spokesman tonight said the system was likely to intensify further into a cyclonic storm and move in a north-north easterly direction towards West Bengal and Bangladesh Coast by tomorrow morning.
Squally winds with speeds reaching 45 to 55 kmph was likely along and off North Coastal Andhra Pradesh and strong surface winds from North-Easterly Direction with speeds reaching 45 to 50 kmph were likely along and off south Coastal Andhra Pradesh during the same period.
The state of the sea would be rough to very rough along and off North Coastal Andhra Pradesh. Fishermen were advised not to venture into the sea.
Local cautionary signal number three was hoisted at Bheemunipatnam Visakhapatnam, Kalingapatnam and Kakinada Ports.
Distant cautionary signal one was hoisted at Machilipatnam, Nizampatnam and Krishnapatnam Ports, the CWC added.
