Badal condoles death of Prof Pritam Singh
Chandigarh, Oct 26 (UNI) Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today expressed profound grief and sorrow over the sad demise of a noted Sikh scholar, academician and recipient of 'Shiromani Sahitya Award', Prof Pritam Singh, who passed away at Patiala yesterday after a prolonged illness.
In a condolence masseage, the Chief Minister described Prof Pritam Singh as a multi-faceted personality with vast experience of teaching spanning over 40 years. He penned down several books which are invaluable treasure of Punjabi literature.
The CM said Prof Pritam Singh was dedicated to the core to serve the cause of Punjab, Punjabi and Punjabiat. His outstanding services towards the promotion of the Punjabi language, linguistics and literature would be ever remembered by one and all.
Mr Badal expressed his heart felt sympathies with the members of the bereaved family and prayed to the Almighty to give strength and courage to bear this irreparable loss and grant peace to the departed soul.
Meanwhile SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal and Public Relations Minister Birkam Singh Majithia also condoled the death of Prof Pritam Singh.
