Jammu, Oct 26 (UNI) Security forces recovered an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) along with other arms and ammunition while police recovered a mine in twin districts of Jammu and Kashmir, sources here said.
''Based on a tip off, army launched a search operation in Mahore area of Reasi district and recovered an IED weighing seven kg along with eight electronic detonators, one normal detonator and 20 batteries of 1.5 volt each,'' sources told UNI.
Meanwhile state police also recovered a mine near agricultural nursery in tehsil Hiranagar of Kathua district, they added.
''The police was informed about the presence of some suspicious material lying in the nursery by a farmer near Bai Nallah of Hiranagar tehsil,'' police informed.
On receiving information, a police party rushed to the spot and recovered 1.5 feet long mine (RDX-TNT-3) from nallah, they said.
