Two militants held in Kashmir
Srinagar, Oct 25 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir police claimed to have arrested two militants who were involved in a number of grenade attacks in north Kashmir.
A police spokesman said police and 30 and 21 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) launched a joint operation at Kralgund and Kulangam in Handwara in the frontier district of Kupwara following a tip-off that two militants were planning to carry out grenade attacks.
During the operation, security forces arrested Mohammad Shafi from Kralgund and Mohammad Yousuf Bhat at Kulangam along with two hand grenades.
He said the arrested militants were directed to lob grenades in public places.
