Three suspects arrested from Jammu
Jammu, Oct 25 (UNI) A special team of Jammu and Kashmir Police arrested three suspects from different areas of the winter capital late last night, sources here today said.
''Based on tip off, a team of Special Operation Group (SOG) arrested a suspect associated with Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) outfit from the general bus stand,'' sources told UNI and added that six rounds of AK ammunition and a letter head of LeT outfit were also recovered from his possession.
''The suspect identified as Siraj Din of Budhal Rajouri, reached here from Srinagar and was detained by the SOG team while six live rounds of AK ammunition besides letter pad of Lashkar outfit were recovered from his bag,'' sources added.
However, he is being interrogated by the police to ascertain the reasons of his visit to Jammu.
Meanwhile, on specific information, the SOG team also lifted two more suspects from busy Raghunath Bazar area last night.
''The suspects were picked up on various inputs and they have been identified as Farooq Ahmed and Sham-ud-Din, both residents of Mahore in Reasi district,'' sources said and added that they were also being put under sustained questioning.
