Jalandhar, Oct 25 (UNI) Denying any failure of talks with the BJP over the issue of seat sharing in Delhi Assembly elections, Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Badal today declared that the party had decided to contest election on its own party symbols.

''Talks with the BJP has not failed over the seat sharing in Delhi elections. Rather it is in positive mode and is the internal matter which will be solved amicably'' the SAD president said while interacting with mediapersons after laying the foundation stone of Guest House of Punjab Press Club.

''BJP and SAD are independent parties and BJP has no problem if SAD would contest election on its party symbol,'' he said adding that the party had already applied for the election symbol of Delhi assembly election to the Election Commission.

He revealed that regarding the forthcoming parliamentary election, party had already initiated the process of selecting the candidates for 10 parliamentary seats.

On a query whether the SAD would seek support of Dera Sacha Sauda in the parliamentary elections, Mr Badal's quick response was ,'why'.

Making a scathing attack on the UPA government, he said current economic crisis, inflation, high prices of diesel, patrol and kerosene were the result of faulty policies of the Central Government. He appealed the Prime Minister to take immediate measures to extend some relief to the common people.

He said he would raise the issue of announcing ''meager bonus'' of Rs 50 to the farmers in the Parliament.

He also said the state government would soon initiate the process of recruitment in various government departments such as education, excise and taxation and police.
