Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 25 (UNI) The North-East Monsoon has been vigorous over Kerala, with heavy rains lashing the Northern parts of the state and Lakshwadeep.
The Local Met office also warned of heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places in North Kerala and Lakshwadeep in the next 48 hrs.
Kozhikode recorded the highest rainfall of 24 cm folowed by Vadakara - 21 cm.
Manjeri got 18 cm of rains and Karipur Airport received 17 cm of rainfall. While Nilambur got 16 cm of rainfall, Pernthalmana and Vaithiri received 15 and 14 cm of rainfall.
Enamakkal recorded a ranfall of 11 cm, Manarcaud -- nine and Thrissur -- seven cm.
The Met office also warned of strong onshore winds from the westerly direction along and off Kerala Coast and Lakshwadeep in the next 24 hrs, office added.
