KLA claims responsibility for torching bus in Assam
Kohima, Oct 25 (UNI) The proscribed Kuki Liberation Army (KLA) today claimed responsibility of torching a night super bus in Lahorijan under Karbi Anglong district of Assam on Thursday night, leading to the death of two passengers.
In a release issued here, KLA information and publicity secretary Malsawn Kuki informed that the 'Eagle Claw Unit' of the KLA torched the bus at Lahorijan, as the Inter state Bus Owners Association had refused to pay ''taxes'' to the KLA.
''The KLA has been compelled to take such a drastic action as a sign of warning to the Interstate Bus Owners Association in general and Airbus Travel Agency in particular. If the organisations do not solve the deal at the earliest, they will face the same consequences,'' the release added.
