Heavy rains to occur in Kerala, Lakshadweep

Pune, Oct 25 (UNI) Heavy to very heavy rains are likely to occur at most places in Kerala and Lakashdweep.

Heavy rains are likely to occur at most places in coastal Gangetic West Bengal, coastal Orissa, coastal Andhra Pradesh, coastal and south interior Karnataka and Andman and Nicobar.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many place in interior Gangetic West Bengal, interior Orissa, Rayalseema, and at a few places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Tamil Nadu.

They are also to occur at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Jammu and Kashmir, Konkan, Goa and north interior Karnataka.

Mainly dry weather will prevail in sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and Telangana.

The north-east monsoon has been vigorous in Kerala and active in south interior Karnataka.

Day temperatures were appreciably to markedly above normal in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, north coastal Andhra Pradesh, north coastal Karnataka and in some parts of east Madhya Pradesh.

They were appreciably to markedly below normal in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, and were below normal in Gangetic West Bengal, south coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, south coastal Karnataka and in some parts of Kerala. They were normal over the rest of the country.

The night temperatures were appreciably to markedly below normal in Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha and north interior Karnataka. They were below normal in sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, south Madhya Pradesh, south Gujarat, north Chhattisgarh and in some parts of east Uttar Pradesh, Konkan and Goa. They were appreciably to markedly above normal in some parts of Rajasthan and were above normal in north coastal Orissa and in some parts of Assam, Meghalaya and Gangetic West Bengal. They were normal over the rest of he country.
