New Delhi, Oct 25: The condition of Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi, who has been hospitalised since October 13, following complete left ventricular failure, continued to remain critical.
''The medical condition of Mr Dasmunsi remains the same and he continues to be on life support,'' an Apollo Hospital spokesperson said in a statement. Mr Dasmunsi had been first admitted to the AIIMS after suffering a complete left ventricular failure and was shifted to the Indraprastha Apollo hospital a week later.
Since then, he has been on ventilator. ''His condition is being closely monitored,'' a doctor said.
Earlier, Mr Dasmunsi had a heart attack on July 6 while on way to Kolkata from Malda after attending a meeting.
He had undergone an angioplasty and stenting of two coronary arteries in a hospital in Kolkata. He also has a history of diabetes and hypertension.
