Bhopal, Oct 25 (UNI) Development works initiated during the BJP rule vis-a-vis the 'failures' of the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre would be highlighted by the ruling BJP during the campaigning for the Assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, party Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu said today.
Mr Naidu, who arrived here to finalise the party's campaign style for the November 25 polling, said issues relating to both state and centre would come up for scrutiny.
''Developments achieved by the Shivraj Singh Chouhan government in different sectors had already created an atmosphere favourable to the BJP at the hustings'',he told reporters here, adding that the BJP would go to the hustings and form next government in the state under the leadership of Mr Chouhan.
The BJP was planning to launch ''Bharat Bachao'' campaign as it felt that the country's interests were at stake as long as the UPA remained in power at the Centre, the senior BJP leader said, adding that the people were convinced that the UPA lacked direction.
Claiming that the BJP manifesto was almost ready, he said the list of candidates would be announced after the BJP central election committee meeting on October 31.
About the shifting of six IAS and IPS officers on the directive of the Election Commission, Mr Naidu said the BJP was not going to poll on the strength of officers. ''We seek votes on the basis of our government's performance''.
Undermining the impact of Uma Bharti-led Bharatiya Jan Shakti during the assembly poll, he said there would be division of only ''non-BJP votes''. It would be a BJP versus non-BJP affair, he added.
