15 Lankan fishermen held by Coast Guard
Chennai, Oct 25 (UNI) Fifteen fishermen from Sri Lanka were arrested by the Coast Guard Authorities for fishing in Indian waters today.
Coast Guard sources told UNI here that ten fishermen, travelling in two boats ''Bhampa'', were detained by the authorities about 92 nautical miles off Puducherry coast.
Five others, travelling in a boat ''Amindra'' were detained about 50 nautical miles off Machilipatnam coast.
They were being brought to the Kasimedu fishing harbour here and would be handed over to the authorities tomorrow, the sources added.
