Patna, Oct 24 (UNI) Condemning the attack on Biharis by MNS activists, the Yuva Andolan, under the banner 'Doctors for You Forum', today demanded dismissal of the Maharashtra government and enforcement of Article 356 in case the Vilasrao Deshmukh government fails to act against the miscreants.

Announcing a nationwide agitation against such attacks, global president of Yuva Andolan Jitendra Kumar said MNS chief Raj Thackeray and his supporters should be arrested and tried for treason against the state.

He said the Centre should dismiss the Maharashtra government and enforce Article 356 there, if Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh fails to initiate stern action against the MNS cadres.

Mr Kumar said the attacks on Bihari students was a huge blow to the Constitution. He said it was an attempt to divide people on the basis of language and regionalism and such attacks were treason against the state.

''When we go abroad, we call ourselves Indian, but in our own country, we start labelling people as Bihari, Marathi, Gujarati.

Bihar has been the cradle of Indian civilisation and the people of the state bled to death for the prosperity of the rest of country.

The people of Bihar worked as labourers, engineers, doctors and administrators in various parts of the country and contributed to the growth of India, but it is unfortunate that they are being victimised in their own country,'' Mr Kumar said.

Bihari migrants were killed in Manipur for being Hindi bhashi, in Assam for being outsiders, and now in Mumbai for being North Indians. Despite such volatile situation the nation and the politicians have turned their backs on the people of this state, he alleged.

The Yuva Andolan would support the Bihar bandh call given by various students organisations tomorrow and announced to observe bandh in Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh on a later date.

Mr Kumar said the Yuva Andolan would continue its agitation unless the politicians of the nation wake up from slumber and concede its demands, including arrest of MNS chief Raj Thakeray and his cadres and try them for treason against the state, dismissal of Maharashtra government and enforcement of Article 356 of the Constitution, if they fail to act against the miscreants.

''Any attempt to create division based on language and region be considered at par with terrorism, any offence in the above mentioned category be tried under organised crime control act and relevant anti-terrorism acts, Parliament should pass a resolution reiterating the right of Indian citizens to work or settle anywhere in India,'' he added.
