Two motorcycle-borne rob man of Rs 7.5 lakh in Connaught Place

New Delhi, Oct 24 (UNI) In a daring daylight robbery an employee of a private firm was robbed of Rs 7.5 lakh from Connaught Place area of New Delhi district this afternoon.

According to the police, Naresh (30) who worked with 'M-Tech Developers' and was returning to his office after withdrawing Rs 7.5 lakh from HDFC Bank, was allegedly robbed by two motorcycle-borne men near Kasturba Gandhi Road red light.

''The incident took place around 1300 hrs while he was walking back to his office at Ansal Building'', added the police.

Naresh, who works as a field boy with the bank, said the accused, on the motorcycle, snatched the bag and fled.

We suspect the involvement of some insider in the incident and Naresh was being interrogated.

''A case has been registered and investigations were on from all possible angles. Hunt is also on to nab the culprits,'' the police said.
