Six grenades, AK-47 recovered in Poonch

Jammu, Oct 24 (UNI) Security forces today recovered six grenades and one AK rifle from militants' hideout in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources here said.

''Based on specific information, a joint operation was launched by the security forces in one of the remote villages of Balakote Sector and they recovered six hand grenades along with one Chinese Pistol, one AK-47 rifle, three magazines, 150 AK rounds, four pistol rounds and other assorted material,'' sources told UNI.

Security forces have cordoned the area and intensified the searches.
