Malegaon blast accused's links with Hindu organisations probed:ATS
Mumbai, Oct 24 (UNI) The Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) chief Hemant Karkare today said Pradnya Singh Thakur, one of the accused in the Malegaon blast, which took place on September 29, had floated two organisations namely Vande Mataram Jan Kalyan Samiti and Rashtriya Jagran Manch.
The ATS is investigating whether these two organisations had any links with any other Hindu organisations, Mr Karkare said.
He said the motorcycle, which was used for the blasts, had a fake registration number and was actually in the name of Thakur.
The ATS is also checking whether these two organisations had plotted any other blast.
Thakur had been arrested from Surat, while two others -- Shivnarayan Singh and Shyam Bhavarlal Sahu, were arrested from Indore yesterday.
The three were today remanded by a Nashik court to police custody till November three.
