Kannada activists picket Doordarshan

Bangalore, Oct 24(UNI) Activists of the Karnataka Rakshana Vedike (Praveenkumar Shetty) staged a picketing protest before the premises of the Doordarshana Kendra to protest against Centre's delay in according Classical Language status to Kannada here today.

The activists led by Praveenkumar Shetty, also shouted slogans against the Centre for delay in according Classical status to Kannada Language.

The activists were taken into custody by the police and lated released.
