New Delhi, Oct 24 (UNI) Minister of State for Women and Child Development Renuka Chowdhury today informed the Lok Sabha during question hour that her Ministry has formulated a centrally sponsored scheme,y "Integrated Child protection Scheme(ICPS)" for implementation during the eleventh plan period through the State Governments and Union Territory administration.
She, however, said the scheme is yet to be approved by the competent authority.
Responding to question as to why the proposed scheme was not notified so far, Mrs Chowdhury said some more formalities were to be completed.
She said the scheme would be able to adress most of the issues of child-related problems. State Governments would be asked to set up their Child Rights Commissions which will be monitored by the ICPS.
