Bengaluru, Oct 24: Bangalore University (BU) kicked off a three-day youth festival on Thursday, Oct 23. Students of BU and post graduate and under graduate students of colleges affiliated to the University participated.
Minister of Women and Child Welfare Development Narendra Swamy who addressed the gathering said that the festival is unique as it provides a holistic development for students. Speaking on the occasion Nataka Academy Chairman B V Rajaram and renowned theatre personality Master Hiranniah also encouraged and appreciated the initiative of the students.
During the festival many events were conducted that progressed through the day including rangoli competition, poster making, cartooning, collage, folk dances, classical instrumental group and solo performances, literary events like - quiz, poetry recitation, elocution, theatre events, skit and mono-acting. The winners of these competition will represent the University in south zone and national-level competitions.
