TN: APCPL CEO visits BHEL to review project
Tiruchirapalli, Oct 24: Aravali Power Company Private Limited (APCPL) Chief Executive Officer(CEO) P K Modi, visited the Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), here and reviewed the status of Rs 2,900 crore project of three 500 MW units that the BHEL was executing for the company, a joint venture firm of NTPC, Indraprastha Power Generation Company Limited and Haryana Power Generation Corporation Limited.
In a release here yesterday, Mr Modi expressed satisfaction over the progress of the project as per schedule. BHEL would supply and install the plants at Jhajjar Super Thermal Power Project in Haryana. Slated for synchronisation during the 11th Plan, these units will add 36 million units every day to the grid on commissioning, which will be shared by the power-deficit New Delhi and Haryana.
Power from the first unit will be used for the Commonwealth Games to be held in New Delhi in 2010, the release added.
