Proper power supply in Shimla to be ensured: Bragta
Shimla, Oct 23 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Horticulture Minister Narender Bragta said here today that the officers of HPSEB had been directed to take all necessary measures to ensure proper and regular power supply in Shimla district during the coming winter season.
The Minister, while addressing a meeting of HPSEB officers, also directed the officers to set up 4 MVI sub stations separately at Jubbal besides ensuring availability of 8-meter length electric poles in Jubbal Kotkhai area.
He said that 29 transmitters would be installed within the next two months in Jubbal Kotkhai assembly segment whereas transmitters would be installed within 15 days in higher reaches of the segment.
He said that to ensure proper power supply in Kotkhai area, 66 KV Huli Sub Station would be augmented and energized whereas a proposal to set up a separate Sub Station at Sainj costing Rs 21 crore is also under active consideration of the Government.
He further informed that all the old and obsolete equipments would be replaced with new ones in the 22 KV Control Room at Kotkhai, adding that the State Government would ensure regular power supply to the people of rural and far flung areas of Shimla district.
